GW Takes Honorable Mention, Three Individual Awards at Elon
Monday, 19 October 2009 09:46

This past weekend, from October 16th to October 18th, GW sent two teams to compete at Elon University's Carolina Classic. This invitational tournament was hosted on Elon's campus near Greensboro, North Carolina. We'd like to thank Elon University, in particular Will Warihay, for hosting such a well-run tournament. We'd also like to thank the teams that we faced (Richmond, Washington & Lee, University of Virginia, UCF, South Carolina-Columbia and Elon) for providing strong and clean competition.

Both GW teams performed extremely well, bringing home winning records (5-2-1 and 5-3) in a competitive tournament. Congratulations to GW 756 for earning a 6th place honorable mention with 5.5 ballots.

GW also earned three individual honors at the Carolina Classic. Freshman Jeremy Carter won an individual witness award at 17 ranks; sophomore Amanda Castroverde won an individual witness award at 17 ranks; and senior Kevin Homiak won an individual attorney award at 19 ranks. Congratulations to Jeremy, Amanda and Kevin!

GW will be sending its third team to the Spider Classic at the University of Richmond next weekend.
