With Perfect Record, GW Takes First Place at Case Western
Monday, 02 November 2009 08:49

Over Halloween weekend, one GW team made the trip to Cleveland, OH for Case Western Reserve's Spartan Throwdown invitational tournament. We'd like to thank Case Western for running a great tournament, and thanks to St. Louis University, Miami University of Ohio, University of Chicago and Notre Dame for four great rounds.

GW finished the tournament in first place with a perfect 8-0 record. GW also won the "Leonidas" award, given to the team with the largest positive point differential in the tournament. GW's point differential was +110, meaning the team won each of their ballots by an average of 13.75 points.

One member of the team also came away with an individual award: congratulations to Justin Woods for earning an outstanding witness award with 17 ranks.
