After going 8-0 and winning the Lundgren-Risk Division of the National Championship Tournament, Team 756 qualified for the National Championship Round for the first time ever. In a very close round, Team 756 lost a split decision against the University of Maryland, College Park.
Congratulations to Laura Bentele, Andrew Blackwell, James Bonneau, Lindsay Bowles, Jacob Chervinsky, Kevin Homiak, and Daniel Theveny for their National Runner-Up Finish at the 2007-2008 National Championship Tournament.
In addition to finishing second, Team 757 received an honorable mention in the Lundgren-Risk Division by going 4-4. GW joins the University of Texas at Austin as the only programs to place two teams in the Top 15 of their division.
Special congratulations to Andrew Blackwell for winning an All-American Attorney Award and Laura Bentele and Alex Shoucair for winning All-American Witness Awards. These awards are given to the Top 10 attorneys and witnesses in each division and are the highest individual honor in collegiate mock trial.
