Bio: From Pearland, TX (Or Houston, because no one knows what Pearland is), Ananya Murthy spent half of last semester trying to make an alcoholic talk show host likable, and the other half yelling over construction noises to learn how to project. Her claim to mock trial fame is the “witnesses as John Mulaney quotes” meme that went viral on the mock trial meme page. Though she refers to mock trial as her boyfriend because of how much time she spends there, Ananya also finds time to write articles on international affairs for the Compass, and performed this year’s cabaret. In her free time, she enjoys belting Broadway songs at the top of her lungs until the neighbors text to ask her to please stop so they can sleep. Her greatest accomplishment to date is finishing all seven seasons of Game of Thrones in two weeks in preparation for the final season.
