Bio: Shawn Calmes was eight years old when made his debut as a performer, singing the national anthem at a motorsport track in front of a crowd of over 2,000 people. Growing up, he wanted to join the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio as a famous actor (safe to say, that hasn’t happened yet). After acting in over 20 plays and musicals (none on Broadway) and singing at more venues than he can count, Shawn shifted his dreams away from the stages of Broadway towards a new stage: the courtroom. In his six years performing on this new stage, Shawn has built incredible bonds with his fellow competitors (performers, if you will) and created unforgettable memories. Outside of the courtroom (and Phillips 414b), you’ll probably find Shawn engrossed in a book on the National Mall or enjoying every Kennedy Center performance that his schedule (and bank account) will allow.
